Job summary

Medxcel is hiring a facilities technician for a full-time day shift at Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield, MI. The role focuses on operating and monitoring power generation and HVAC systems, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring reliable plant operations.

You will document equipment status, respond to outages, and collaborate with the facilities team to support a safe, compliant healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school graduates encouraged; relevant certifications may help.
• 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates and controls primary power generation and HVAC systems, including boilers, turbines, generators, reactors, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Monitors facility equipment, meters, gauges, and charts to regulate power flow and detect operational problems.
• Performs preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to prevent deterioration or failure.
• Records and compiles operational data in logs and reports and documents equipment malfunctions.
• Responds to power outages and emergencies by coordinating with personnel and participating in required meetings and training.
