Job summary

Liberty, a subsidiary of Algonquin Power & Utilities, seeks a PowerPlan specialist to manage the PowerPlan Cloud system and its users. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, system performance, and close collaboration with accounting and leadership to optimize fixed asset processes.

The successful candidate will have 4–5 years of PowerPlan Cloud experience, SAP S4 Hana exposure, and strong communication and analytical skills. Hybrid work model offered, with focus on reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent required.
• 4–5 years PowerPlan Cloud application experience is a must.
• SAP S4 Hana PPM/PS/CO experience is desired.
• Fixed assets and depreciation accounting concepts knowledge.
• Regulated utility accounting concepts (FERC, NARUC).
• Strong writing and communication skills, problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and learn continuously.
• SQL knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless operation of the PowerPlan application and optimize asset lifecycle processes.
• Monitor system performance and mitigate issues to minimize risk.
• Improve compatibility between SAP S4/Hana and PowerPlan.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and system reliability improvements.
• Respond to alerts and perform system maintenance including log reviews.
• Maintain test and training environments and coordinate outages.
• Coordinate system security reviews and document processes.
• Develop and deliver targeted end-user training and maintain documentation.
• Analyze system data and performance metrics to drive improvements.
