Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. seeks a Lead, PowerPlan for LU Service Corp. The role oversees the PowerPlan application and user base, ensuring efficient operation and strong troubleshooting while collaborating with Property Accounting and leadership.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, optimizing SAP S4/HANA compatibility, incident analysis, security reviews, and driving continuous improvement with training and documentation.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years PowerPlan Cloud application experience.
• Experience with SAP S4 Hana PPM, PS and/or CO is desirable.
• Understanding of Fixed Assets and Depreciation Accounting concepts.
• Knowledge of Regulated Utility Accounting concepts: FERC, NARUC.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• SQL knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless operation of the PowerPlan application and optimize system functionality.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and mitigate risks.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of incidents; implement improvements.
• Coordinate SAP S4/HANA and PowerPlan compatibility.
• Perform system maintenance and review error logs.
• Coordinate system security reviews and training programs.
• Develop user documentation and conduct targeted training.
• Oversee Month End Close tasks and PowerPlan application closings.
