Job summary

Austin Telco Federal Credit Union seeks a Programmer Analyst II to develop and support critical technology systems, focusing on PowerOn and Symitar integrations. You will troubleshoot complex issues and maintain reliable system performance.

The role involves core system administration, development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, with on-call duties and month-end processing. Location: Austin, TX. Salary range includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of software development experience
• Proficiency in PowerOn and HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (waterfall or agile)
• Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, follow through, and meet deadlines, including off-hours for month-end QE
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and off-hours as needed for month-end and system processing

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and configure the Symitar system for availability
• Develop, modify, and maintain Symitar core banking apps and utilities (SymXchange API, PowerOn, PowerFrame Docs/MicroApps, OpCon)
• Identify inefficiencies and optimize core performance
• Administer and support automation, teller capture systems, and Symitar applications
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for Symitar and other critical apps
• Escalate complex issues and develop corrective actions, including custom programs
• Collaborate with vendors to implement software and troubleshoot issues
• Review code for QA and ensure SDLC alignment
• Maintain technical and procedural documentation
• Mentor junior staff and work cross-functionally on initiatives
• Provide on-call support as needed
• Complete AML/BSA compliance training
