Job summary

Suncoast Credit Union seeks a Core Systems Developer to maintain the central financial processing system (Symitar) with a focus on performance and reliability. The role involves developing and supporting core programs, batch processing, and automated workflows using PowerOn, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

The incumbent will perform code reviews, manage backups, support system upgrades, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure uninterrupted service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 2+ years maintaining Core applications including Symitar and PowerOn.
• 2+ years in SQL, data modeling, stored procedures, functions, and query optimization.
• 2+ years of financial services experience.
• Knowledge of SymXchange and SOAP API is preferred.
• PowerShell, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain the core financial processing system and mortgage servicing system for the credit union.
• Assist with upgrading the core operating system and related servers.
• Review vendor documentation for core upgrades and impact on systems, staff, and members.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for the Core system and performance.
• Act as a point of contact for system issues during processing.
• Document architecture, procedures, and troubleshooting steps in repository.
