Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years’ experience in power plants, powerhouses, engine rooms or engineering spaces.
• Experience with high pressure steam boilers and/or cogeneration plants.
• Experience reading complex blueprints, drawings or manuals.
• Requires valid motor vehicle license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and inspect boilers and related equipment on and off site.
• Operate and adjust equipment to maximize efficiency.
• Take water samples, analyze results and take corrective action.
• Under watch engineer, changeover boilers using alternate fuels, oils or gas.
• Work from blueprints and manuals to perform powerhouse duties.
• Record daily boiler performance and log sheets; take corrective action.
