Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Superintendent (ComEd) to lead field operations for power utility construction in the Chicagoland area, overseeing substations and electrical infrastructure. You will manage crews, coordinate schedules, and uphold safety and budget compliance on critical projects.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years of field experience in power utility construction, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

5–10+ years of field experience in power utility or electrical infrastructure construction.
Proven experience as a Superintendent or Foreman managing utility or heavy civil projects.
OSHA certification and other safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead field operations for power utility construction projects, including substations and electrical infrastructure.
Supervise crews, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery within budget.
Coordinate daily jobsite activities including scheduling, material delivery, equipment usage, and workforce planning.
Enforce safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Review project plans, specifications, and permits to ensure accurate execution of work.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve field issues and maintain project progress.
Maintain detailed daily reports, track production, and monitor productivity.
Oversee quality control and ensure installations meet required standards.
