Xcel Energy Inc in Minneapolis, MN invites engineering students to join a summer internship as an entry-level engineering analyst within the Transmission and Substation Standards team, located in Minneapolis, MN. The role spans standards development and project support.

You must be a sophomore or higher student in ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program, able to work up to 40 hours weekly in summer and up to 20 hours during the school year, commuting in-person per hybrid policy.

Qualifications

• Current student, Sophomore or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Enrolled in ABET-accredited college/university program in Electrical Engineering.
• Can work full-time during summer (up to 40 hours/week) and part-time during school year (up to 20 hours/week) and commute in person per hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Engineering staff to support Standards projects.
• Work as an entry level engineering analyst doing tasks spanning all aspects of standards development including scope creation, knowledge transfer from subject matter experts, project management, and document preparation.
• Process review and maintenance.
