Job summary

Aggreko plc in Mendon, MA is seeking a Power Technician 2 to service, repair, commission and operate Aggreko products. The role requires work in the service center and at customer sites, with daily local travel in the company vehicle.

You will perform preventive maintenance on generators, diesel engines, HVAC equipment and oil-free air compressors, troubleshoot issues in shops and on-site, and operate equipment solo or with a team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and calculate nominal and/or kW requirements.
• TWIC card or valid DOT medical card may be required based on customer needs.
• Valid driver’s license and good mobility for field work.
• Ability to lift up to 60–75 lbs and work in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Based out of Mendon, MA service center with daily field travel in company vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, diesel engines, electrical gear, HVAC equipment and oil-free air compressors.

Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power Technician 2 in Mendon, MA. You'll work as a team or independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.

What you'll do:

• You'll be based out of our Mendon, MA service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
