Job summary

Aggreko, LLC is seeking a Technician 1 – Power in Reno, NV. You will service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, commission, and operate power generation equipment at a data center site, with an emphasis on diesel or natural gas engines and electrical systems.

You will read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and document maintenance while following safety procedures on-site. This role requires a high school diploma and a willingness to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Mechanically and electrically inclined with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with diesel or natural gas engines, generators, or field service.
• Able to read schematics and manuals.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and repairs on generators, engines, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot field equipment, complete repairs solo or with teammates.
• Inspect and service equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Use tools, meters, schematics, and manuals to diagnose issues.
• Document work orders and maintenance logs accurately.
• Assist with setup, commissioning, and operation on job sites.
• Follow safety procedures (OSHA/EPA) and work safely around equipment.
• Coach less-experienced technicians when needed.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site leadership.
