You will lead a distributed US-based team, drive design and installation of main power systems, and mentor engineers and technologists while coordinating with business development and senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience.
• Experience managing engineering teams preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external customers and engineering groups.
• Gather input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.
• Excellent team building and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversite and direction to a distributed team of engineers and technologists primarily based in the United States with potential for international growth.
• Collaborate with business development to develop offers and oversee project deliverables.
• Recruit interns/co-ops and new hire engineers and technologists for long-term needs.
• Manage resources trained, qualified, and supporting the design and installation of electrical systems and equipment.
• Identify engineering priorities by assessing objectives, execution time, and costs.
• Ensure best practices, lessons learned, and improvements are realized in project performance and margins.
• Prepare and implement training and development plans and mentor the next generation of engineers.
• Provide management with data by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing engineering data and trends.
• Engage with external customers, partners and WEC senior management.
