Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Summer 2027 Electrical Engineer Intern to join the Automation, Integration & System Protection (AISP) team. You will work on substation SCADA, network integration, and relay settings design while gaining hands-on experience with utilities and renewables client projects.

You'll receive mentorship, contribute to technical deliverables, and participate in team meetings to grow power systems expertise. Opportunities for site visits and hybrid work arrangements may be available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of study toward a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Coursework or interest in electrical power systems is a strong plus.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to follow direction.
• Must be available to work full-time during Summer 2027.
• Potential to continue internship through the school year based on performance.
• Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers on projects related to substation SCADA, network integration, and relay settings design.
• Assist in preparing technical deliverables and design packages for utility and renewables clients.
• Receive detailed instruction and mentorship to complete assigned tasks.
• Participate in team meetings and training to expand power systems knowledge.
• Collaborate with engineering professionals to meet project deadlines and maintain quality.
• Possibly participate in site visits and hands-on exposure to operational systems.
