Job summary

PJM Interconnection, LLC in the United States is seeking an Engineer to advance interconnection projects within the PJM New Service Request Cycle study process. You will lead analyses, evaluate requests for compliance with NERC, FERC, and PJM planning principles.

The role includes conducting studies like load flow, short circuit, and dynamic stability; collaborating with stakeholders and managing consultants; and preparing reports and presentations to support System Planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• At least 3 years of experience with Power Systems Analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive power system analyses to support reports for interconnection requests and related reliability assessments.
• Identify and assess transmission system upgrades necessary to address reliability and operational challenges.
• Perform system adequacy and reliability evaluations to ensure optimal PJM grid performance.
• Drive innovation by contributing to development of new planning methods and practices.
• Prepare detailed reports and engaging presentations to support System Planning Division initiatives.
• Collaborate with transmission owners to refine reinforcements identified through analyses.
