Job summary

PJM Interconnection coordinates and facilitates the interconnection of new generation and merchant transmission projects to the PJM system and oversees network upgrades to ensure the long-term reliability and adequacy of the PJM system. You will coordinate with transmission owners, developers, and other stakeholders through the engineering and scheduling of new connections to the PJM bulk power system.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and at least five years of field experience with

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or higher; five+ years of related experience.
Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support.
Experience with transmission systems and substations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate external interfaces between PJM, transmission owners, generators and project developers for connections to the PJM grid.
Develop and coordinate project work plans for generation and transmission reinforcements across multiple systems.
Manage timelines and milestones from engineering design to interconnection service agreement.
Coordinate system reinforcement requirements with PJM divisions.
Prepare interconnection studies and agreements for generation and merchant transmission projects.
Monitor and improve project management processes and adoption of new monitoring technologies.
