PJM Interconnection, LLC is seeking a Stability Engineer to perform reliability analysis for New Services Requests within the PJM Interconnection Process. You will study transmission reinforcements, operate dynamic stability analyses, and develop project models to support planning and IA group goals.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in power systems, experience with PSSE/PSCAD/PSS/e, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a background in NERC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; master's preferred.
• 4+ years of power systems experience; reliability analysis experience valued.
• Proficiency with PSSE, PSCAD and PSS/e for dynamic studies; NERC/IEEE familiarity.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Perform power system analysis and dynamic stability analysis for System Impact Study reports.
• Evaluate transmission reinforcements to maintain reliability; coordinate with Transmission Owner staff.
• Support data reviews for New Service Requests and prepare base case models.
• Create and maintain power flow/dynamics cases and project models; manage multiple projects.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations; support development of practice manuals.
• Identify and develop new planning methods; collaborate with IA team on complex problems.
• Represent PJM on industry committees and stakeholder groups.
