Job summary
Electric Power Engineers, LLC seeks an Engineer with EMT modelling and power system studies expertise to join our Energy Resources team. You will work with senior leadership to support growth, coach staff, and deliver client engagements.
Responsibilities include EMT studies, model development, steady state studies, and software proficiency across PSCAD, PSSE, ETAP, Digsilent PowerFactory, CYMCAP, with emphasis on IEEE/IEC/CICRE compliance.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in power system modelling and power system studies.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems emphasis.
- Experience with control system tuning is a plus.
- HVDC experience is a plus.
- Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve quality and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform EMT studies including transient and harmonic analyses.
- Develop local EMT models and tune/disturbance ride-through; benchmark PSCAD/PSSE models.
- Conduct steady state studies such as load flow and short circuit.
- Utilize PSCAD, EMTP, PSSE, Digsilent PowerFactory, PSSE, ETAP, CYMCAP for modelling.
- Engage with clients and support project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
