Job summary

Group CBS, Inc. is seeking an electrical engineer to perform power system studies, prepare reports, and provide field support. The role involves short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analyses, plus development of diagrams and documentation for client projects.

The candidate should have a BS in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of power systems, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word; SKM PowerTools experience is a plus. Some travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Working knowledge of electrical power systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and learn new systems and processes.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with electrical analysis software such as SKM PowerTools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical power system studies including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analysis.
  • Analyze electrical systems and equipment to identify performance and safety concerns.
  • Prepare technical study reports and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with project planning and coordination to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain electrical single-line diagrams and compile equipment ratings.
  • Occasionally travel to customer locations to collect electrical system data and support field work.
