Job summary

Potomac Testing, a TechPro Power Group company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Carmel, IN team. You will perform electrical system analyses, design and support power projects across government, healthcare, commercial, and manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities include short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or Easy Power; engineering reports; CAD-based drawings; and field support. ABET-accredited degree required; PE preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Proficiency with SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or Easy Power.
• Strong Microsoft Office and AutoCAD skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform Electrical Analysis: Short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or Easy Power.
• Engineering Reports: Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings with actionable recommendations.
• System Design: Develop electrical models from single-line diagrams or field notes and generate drawings using CAD tools.
• Project Support: Collaborate with project managers to address engineering challenges and provide solutions.
• Field Work: Occasional on-site evaluations, equipment inspection, troubleshooting, or data gathering.
