Jobot in Houston, TX is seeking a Power Studies Engineer to join our Power Studies group on complex projects across industrial, commercial, and utility environments. You will run studies from start to finish, including short-circuit analysis, coordination, arc-flash, and grounding, while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

This role offers field involvement, client exposure, and the opportunity to work with experienced engineers on critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience; power systems focus preferred.
• Hands-on experience with power system modeling software — SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EZPower, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of low, medium, and high-voltage systems up to 500kV.
• Clear, confident communication — you'll interact directly with customers and internal teams.
• Travel domestically and occasionally internationally.

Responsibilities

• Run power system studies from start to finish — short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination, arc-flash, power factor correction, harmonic modeling, and grounding analysis.
• Present findings to clients and support field teams during shutdowns, startups, and maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams, and participate in fieldwork as needed.
