X, The Moonshot Factory in Mountain View is seeking a senior technical lead for the AI-powered grid team. You will bridge engineering, product, and partner groups to define CIM-based data models and ingestion workflows, ensuring high-quality, scalable grid representations for planning and operations.

You will drive CIM data standardization, validation, and tool feedback, enabling reliable deployment across testing and production environments, with strong emphasis on collaboration and impact.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power systems modeling and analysis.
• Deep knowledge of CIM and data conversion between CIM and other formats.
• Experience with CIM implementation strategy and multi-vendor datasets.
• Participation in CIM-related groups or tooling communities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a cross-functional technical bridge among engineering, product, and partners.
• Shape end-to-end grid model strategy and CIM-based data standards.
• Lead data ingestion, model validation, and tooling feedback for improvements.
• Ensure models are geolocated and electrically simulable with acceptable results.
• Stage validated models into testing and production applications.
• Lead rigorous user acceptance testing and secure engineering sign-off.
