Exelon is seeking an experienced Electrical/General Engineer to support planning, design, construction, and maintenance of its utility infrastructure in Illinois. You’ll perform engineering studies, calculations, and permitting, while working with internal teams and external partners to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and 2–4 years of experience, with strong problem solving, communication, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 2–4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem solving and engineering theory knowledge; familiar with regulations and codes.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments with independent discretion under guidance of experienced engineers.
• Analyzes large projects, power flows and complex engineering tests.
• Directs engineering tasks on large projects and validates designs against standards.
• Participates in teams to evaluate and improve technical systems.
