Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an Assembler for the Aiken, SC area to position, align and assemble components using hand tools and hoists. You will read and interpret blueprints and ensure parts meet specifications, with a focus on safety and quality in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role requires a high school diploma/GED with related trade experience or equivalent, and the ability to work any shift with overtime as needed. Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2 years in mechanical/engine or trade school or an associate degree.
• Or 3 years of experience in a durable goods assembly/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Position and align components for assembly, manually or using hoists.
• Fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies.
• Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.
• Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specifications manuals, and plan assembly or building operations.
• Verify conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints, using calipers, gauges and micrometers.
