Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in a durable goods assembly or manufacturing environment or 2 years in a mechanical/engine/automotive trade school or equivalent associate’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Position and align components for assembly, manually or using hoists, and verify parts clearances.
• Fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies.
• Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.
• Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specifications manuals, and plan assembly or building operations.
• Verify conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
