Job summary

Carter Machinery Co. Inc. is seeking a PSD Applications Engineer to support the design of power plants and Caterpillar standby power systems for engineers, contractors, and end-users.

You will assist with mechanical and electrical designs, and use Caterpillar sizing programs to support projects. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and willingness to travel to various sites. Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred; one year of power systems

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in electrical power systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist consulting engineers, contractors, and end-users in the design of power plants that result in the sale of Caterpillar power generation products.
• Assist with project designs and specifications for standby power systems applications (mechanical and electrical).
• Use Caterpillar sizing programs to aid designs.
• Prepare and read drawings for construction and installation.
• Write and modify specifications; interpret contract documents.
