Job summary

Austin Energy seeks a Power System Engineer to support predictive maintenance for rotating equipment. You will perform vibration and infrared thermography inspections at the Decker and Sand Hill Energy Centers and at chilled water facilities, collecting data from energized motors and generators.

You will analyze data, assess equipment health, and advise maintenance and operations teams on remaining life and repair needs, while developing monitoring routes and supporting outages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related engineering experience.
• Experience with vibration analysis and infrared thermography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vibration monitoring and infrared thermography inspections on energized equipment.
• Analyze collected data and provide maintenance recommendations.
• Develop routing for monitoring of rotating machinery and assist in root-cause investigations.
