Job summary

City of Austin is seeking an experienced maintenance professional for a Sand Hill Energy Center based role in Del Valle, TX. The job covers electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation/control crafts with 12-hour shifts and on-call considerations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of turbines, pumps, piping, boilers, and associated control systems. Candidates should have 8+ years of relevant experience and be able to work in extreme environments and at height.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent and eight years of maintenance/operations craft experience.
• Associate degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Preferred GE LM6000 / Combine Cycle maintenance experience and OEM training.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, program, and replace complex electrical equipment and control circuits.
• Install, repair, and maintain mechanical and instrumentation equipment at the power plant.
• Read and interpret piping and instrument diagrams and system wiring to locate faults.
