Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Power System Architect in Seattle to interface with customers, engineering, and sales to define power interconnect solutions.

You will develop models, create technical presentations, and coordinate lab testing with thermal and engineering teams; some travel is required. This role offers exposure to product development and customer programs within a global company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years' experience providing technical support to produce design wins in connector industry.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and Product Data Management (Creo and Windchill).
• Some knowledge of server/storage/networking/data center rack level architectures would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to develop solutions addressing power requirements.
• Access customer needs and map to current products or propose modifications/new concepts.
• Create models and/or technical presentations to propose concepts and solutions.
• Provide key engineering documents: drawings, product specs, lab test results, plating analysis.
• Coordinate with engineering, thermal, MFG, and test labs to support design proposals.
• Lead Voice of Customer activities and travel as needed.
