Kiewit Power Engineering in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Mid Level Structural Design Engineer to support design, calculations, and drawings for power generation projects. You will work with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with EPC contracts, RFPs, and industry standards.

The role requires a Civil/Structural/Architectural ABET-accredited degree, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with SAP2000, SAFE, and Mathcad.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of structural engineering/design experience.
• Power industry experience preferred.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
• SAP2000, SAFE and Mathcad preferred.
• Knowledge of ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360 and IBC.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare designs for assigned structure(s) including research, selection of lateral force resisting system, analysis, and drawing preparation for power generation projects.
• Apply department and industry standards when preparing calculations, project drawings, and project specifications.
• Understand and meet or exceed EPC, RFPs, and professional service agreements or other contractual requirements.
• Research new markets and adapt current processes to deliver project results.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to address structural-related issues.
• Prepare, monitor, and update project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Support department managers in achieving performance goals.
