Job summary

TotalEnergies Gas & Power North America, Inc. seeks a Power Scheduler to execute the power trading strategy and ensure timely scheduling of transactions across ISO/RTOs.

You will work with traders, counterparties, ISOs, and internal teams to support commercial activities in a fast-paced market. The role requires robust analytical skills, financial and commodity trading knowledge, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Foundational understanding of North American power markets, commodity and financial trading, and risk management principles.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities; experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or similar analytical tools is preferred.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment with time-sensitive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and confirm physical and financial power transactions within ERCOT, PJM, and CAISO.
• Submit daily energy bids and offers to support portfolio optimization.
• Monitor market positions and trading strategies to align with objectives and profitability targets.
• Coordinate and schedule Ancillary Services for industrial load customers.
• Execute trading strategies and participate in Ancillary Services opportunities.
• Analyze large datasets to deliver market intelligence and risk insights to traders.
• Identify operational risks and communicate issues to stakeholders.
• Prioritize tasks to meet market deadlines and ensure uninterrupted trading.
• Maintain compliance with ISO/RTO rules, NERC standards, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Origination, and Back Office teams for execution and settlement.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related fields; strong analytical background preferred.
