Job summary

TotalEnergies Gas & Power North America, Inc. is seeking a Back Office Analyst to support power trading operations in Houston.

The role focuses on timely processing of confirmations, invoices, and payments, while ensuring data integrity across brokers, exchanges, and clearers for North American markets. You will perform reconciliations, build automated workflows with SQL, Python, and Excel VBA, and generate essential reports supporting ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, and SPP activities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Energy, or a business-related field.
• Three to five years of experience in the power markets—wholesale and retail.
• Experience with Power BI and automation tools such as Alteryx or similar plaforms.
• Experience with large structured datasets and developing scalable data models.
• Advanced programming and data-engineering skills: SQL, Python, Excel (VBA, Power Query, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Process confirmations, invoices, and payments accurately per agreements.
• Reconcile power trades and verify data across systems.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations using SQL and Python.
• Prepare reports for ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, and SPP in wholesale and retail markets.
• Manage counterparties and ensure accurate deal capture in trading systems.
