First Citizens Bank's Power and Renewables Energy Group seeks a Commercial Banking Underwriting Analyst for its Analyst Development Program in New York City. The program blends classroom training with on-the-job experience to build underwriting and financial modeling skills for energy projects.

Analysts will perform financial modeling, due diligence, credit memo prep, and assist in deal teams for debt solutions across solar, wind, gas, and battery storage, with opportunities to engage in credit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree plus 2 years in commercial lending or credit analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Quantitative orientation with finance/economics/engineering background
• Experience with financial statement analysis and credit memo preparation

Responsabilités

• Model solar, wind, gas, and battery storage projects in Excel
• Perform due diligence: company/industry analysis, engineering, market, insurance, transmission studies
• Prepare internal credit memoranda
• Prepare marketing materials for potential clients and lenders
• Work on live transactions as part of a Deal Team, involving credit underwriting and portfolio management
• Join internal credit approval meetings and client calls as appropriate
