First Citizens Bank in New York invites applications for a Commercial Banking Underwriting Analyst in its Analyst Development Program within the Power and Renewables Energy Group. This hybrid role starts in New York City with an 8-week curriculum and hands-on credit underwriting training.

Analysts will work on debt solutions for middle-market energy projects, performing financial modeling, due diligence, credit memos, and collaboration with deal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree/Equivalent and 2 years' experience in coursework or internship in commercial lending or credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and finance fundamentals

Responsabilités

• Financial modeling in Excel for energy projects (solar, wind, gas, battery storage)
• Due diligence of projects including company and industry analysis, reviewing engineering, market and transmission studies
• Preparation of internal credit memoranda
• Preparation of marketing materials for potential clients and other lenders
• Work as part of a Deal Team on live transactions, engaged in credit underwriting and portfolio management
• Participate in internal credit approval meetings and client calls
