First Citizens Bank's Power and Renewables Energy Group is hiring a Commercial Banking Underwriting Analyst to participate in our Analyst Development Program. This hybrid role combines office and flexible work arrangements in Dallas and beyond.

As an Analyst, you will build financial models, perform due diligence on solar, wind, gas, and battery storage projects, prepare credit memos, and help manage a diverse debt portfolio for middle-market clients, supporting a fast-growing energy financing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or associate degree/equivalent and 2 years' experience coursework or internship in commercial lending or credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and finance fundamentals
• Analytical thinking, written and verbal communication, and credit analysis skills
• Strong financial modeling and Excel proficiency preferred

Responsibilities

• Financial modeling in Excel for solar, wind, gas and battery storage projects
• Due diligence of projects including company and industry analysis, reviewing engineering, market, insurance and transmission studies
• Preparation of internal credit memorandum
• Preparation of marketing materials for potential clients and other lenders
• Work as part of a Deal Team on live transactions, engaged in many aspects of credit underwriting and portfolio management, financial analysis, credit memo preparation
• Participate in internal credit approval meetings and client/customer calls as appropriate
