Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Combustion Turbine Specialist in Shelocta, PA to support the operation and maintenance of simple cycle duel fuel turbines and related systems. The role covers startup, operation, and shutdown with emphasis on safe practices and data collection.

The ideal candidate will learn plant fundamentals, monitor instrumentation, and contribute to predictive maintenance while adhering to environmental and safety standards.

• Good oral and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Learn all systems necessary to operate the plant during all conditions.
• Operates turbine-generators and auxiliaries to include start-up and shut-down.
• Prepares plant statistical reports and maintenance budgets as needed.
• Participates in safety tagging and record maintenance; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develops and conducts the plant's predictive maintenance program; maintain logs.
