Job summary

NRG Energy in the United States is seeking a Combustion Turbine Specialist to support operation and maintenance of a simple cycle duel fuel turbine and related systems. You will monitor start-ups, shutdowns, and readings to ensure safe operation within prescribed limits.

You will also develop maintenance data, participate in regulatory compliance, and help implement maintenance programs while working rotating shifts and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience with electric generating equipment and operations is desired.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Operates turbine-generators and auxiliaries during start-up and shut-down.
• Prepares plant statistical reports and maintenance records as needed.
• Participates in safety tagging and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains plant logs and implements preventive maintenance actions.
• Reads blueprints and wiring diagrams for plant systems.
