Xcel Energy is offering an internship in the Reliability Organization for Colorado, supporting Cherokee and Fort St. Vrain. You will work with Plant Engineers and Reliability Engineers, gaining hands-on experience in design reviews, maintenance and capital projects.

The role is ideal for students pursuing Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, with a hybrid on-site work arrangement. Starting May 24, 2027, the internship is full-time during summer and part-time during the school year.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Review designs as part of project support.
• Review APM recommendations for reliability improvements.
• Work order cleanup and coordination.
• Support capital projects for the Colorado plants Cherokee and Fort St. Vrain.
