Job summary

Pleasants power station is seeking an Outage Work Management Planner / Turbine Planner to plan, coordinate, and support maintenance and outage activities on steam turbines, generators, and related plant equipment. You will develop detailed work plans, outage scopes, resource needs, schedules, and work packages to ensure safe, on-time, and budget-conscious execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 years’ related experience or an Associate degree with 10 years’ related experience.
• 3–5 years of power generation, industrial maintenance, turbine maintenance, outage planning, or related experience.
• Working knowledge of steam turbines, generators, valves, pumps, and auxiliary equipment.
• Experience developing maintenance work packages, job plans, and outage schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and procedures.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced outage environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Pleasants Turbines and Generator systems.
• Lead turbine floor repair during planned and forced outages.
• Provide short-notice call-out capability for forced outages.
• Potentially perform duties as back-shift Outage Supervisor.
• Provide daily system monitoring and troubleshooting support for Operations and Maintenance.
• Coordinate capital projects and routine maintenance with internal plant and contractor supervision.
• Direct contractor resources to maintain outage and project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare job plans for scheduled outages with vendors, technical support, task lists, schedules, and budgets.
• Draft and update project schedules and outage schedules for project control.
• Develop detailed job packages using Maximo and related applications in alignment with safety and environmental policies.
