Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence is seeking a Power Plant Operator to join our Maintenance Team, supporting the patient care environment by operating and maintaining the central heating and cooling systems.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience operating a central plant with high pressure steam equipment.
• High School Diploma; valid driver’s license.
• Experience with steam, condensate, and maintenance of large HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, and chillers to maintain hospital comfort.
• Monitor and adjust chemical treatment and prevent system scale or corrosion.
• Respond to emergencies and log events in standard procedures manual.
• Maintain building systems and support second/third shifts as needed.
