Job summary

Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare is seeking a skilled Plant Operations Technician for the 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm), Tuesday through Saturday. The role focuses on operation and maintenance of hospital plant systems to ensure safe, efficient performance.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and 2–5 years of relevant experience. ASE-VOC training in HVAC/EPA refrigerant is preferred; incumbents must adhere to infection control and safety guidelines in a regulated healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in plant operations or facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and infection control practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keeps equipment clean and operational; handles and disposes of hazardous/infectious waste per guidelines.
• Operates, repairs, and maintains physical plant equipment in accordance with department procedures and safety regulations.
• Completes preventative maintenance tasks per approved procedures and manufacturer specs.
• Notifies leadership of equipment failures or safety incidents affecting boiler systems or hospital operations.
• Monitors elevators and coordinates with technicians for repairs when needed.
