Job summary

NAES Corporation is seeking an O&M Technician at Tejas Power Generation in Houston, TX. You will operate and monitor LM6000 and Siemens 501 D5 gas turbines, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient plant operation.

The role requires hands-on experience, adherence to safety procedures, and collaboration with plant personnel and contractors. The position follows a rotating 8-hour shift schedule and is on-site with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Hands-on operations and maintenance experience in power generation or similar industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of turbines, controls, and plant systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs, F&IDs, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Commitment to safety policies, OSHA requirements, and CMMS documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate LM6000 and Siemens 501 D5 gas turbines and auxiliary systems; monitor and adjust as needed.
• Perform safe startup, shutdown, and routine operation following procedures and limits.
• Monitor PLC/SCADA systems, respond to alarms, troubleshoot conditions, and document actions.
• Conduct plant walkdowns, inspections, and tests to identify equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate logs, CMMS entries, and equipment history for reliability.
• Support maintenance activities, outages, and minor repairs as assigned.
