Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States seeks a Mechanical Engineer to apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics to power plant engineering. You will prepare calculations, evaluations, and technical reports to support client recommendations and reviews, and participate in equipment sizing and optimization for project needs.

Based on a hybrid schedule, this role requires in-office work 3 days per week with potential travel to client and vendor sites for reviews and field verification

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in the power industry.
• Strong technical report writing skills.
• Ability to prepare calculations and reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics to power plant engineering.
• Prepare calculations, evaluations, and reports for client recommendations.
• Assist with system design, modification and analysis of mechanical systems.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
