Job summary

Xcel Energy in Wisconsin is seeking a maintenance-oriented professional to manage daily and weekly maintenance work, oversee outages, and coordinate contractors across operations. You will help develop cost estimates, track backlog, and support engineering with maintenance programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, budgeting, and strong communication in a hybrid work environment with significant collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of power plant experience or equivalent experience in heavy industry.
• An understanding of maintenance and operations practices and procedures is required.
• Demonstrate ability to lead people and manage projects.
• Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout processes.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans daily and weekly maintenance work and develops work schedules for maintenance crews.
• Oversees overhauls and outages, schedules contractors, and tracks progress and costs.
• Owns maintenance processes, trending and tracking programs, administrative systems.
• Prepares monthly maintenance/operations reports and outage reports.
• Plans large maintenance projects, estimates cost and resources, and coordinates contractor proposals.
