Job summary

Visit Independence is looking for a skilled technician to join the team at the Blue Valley Power Plant. The role involves installing, adjusting, and maintaining a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring efficient operation in a challenging industrial environment.

The successful candidate will have at least four years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and must hold a valid Class 'B' Commercial Driver’s License. Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of power generation equipment are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in a power plant or heavy industrial mechanical work.
• Must possess a valid Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of power generation equipment including turbines and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in the plant.
• Diagnose trouble or defects and make necessary repairs.
• Participate in general plant maintenance and upkeep.
