We Energies in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking a Computer Instrument Technician to design, install, test, calibrate, tune, repair, maintain and troubleshoot process control instrumentation and related computer-based control and data acquisition equipment for our fossil-fueled power plants.

The role provides technical support to plant chemical, maintenance, electric and operations groups and collaborates with engineers on tests, projects, and equipment performance.

Formación

• Two-year associate degree in electronics, process controls, instrumentation, or power generation technology.
• Equivalent education demonstrated by two years of accredited post-secondary education in electrical/electronic/instrument technology.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, test, calibrate, repair, install, tune and maintain process control instrumentation.
• Provide technical support for power plant computer-based control and data acquisition systems, including programs and displays.
• Resolve day-to-day system problems.
• Ensure system, software and data security; monitor equipment status.
• Aid engineers with equipment performance calculation programs.
• Assist engineering with special tests and projects; may require respirator.

Educación

Two-year associate degree in electronics, process controls, instrumentation, or power generation technology

Equivalent post-secondary education with concentrations in electrical/electronic/instrument technology
