We Energies in Oak Creek, Wisconsin seeks a Computer Instrument Technician to design, install, test, calibrate, repair and maintain plant process control instrumentation and related computer-based control and data acquisition equipment. The role supports plant chemical, maintenance and operations groups to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, calibration, repairing, installing and tuning instrumentation, maintaining system security and assisting engineers

Qualifikationen

• Two-year associate degree in electronics, process controls, instrumentation, or power generation technology or equivalent post-secondary education with relevant concentrations.

Aufgaben

• Troubleshooting, testing, calibrating, repairing, installing, tuning, and maintaining process control instrumentation devices and systems for safe, efficient operation of fossil-fueled power plants.
• Provide technical support related to power plant computer-based control and data acquisition equipment, including development and modification of computer systems applications, operator functions, graphic displays, documentation and database parameters.
• Resolve day-to-day system problems; ensure system, software, data and backup security; monitor equipment status.
• Assist engineers with equipment performance calculation programs and participate in special tests and projects.
