Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with extensive heavy industrial power plant experience. You will develop project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives, and lead teams through cost control and profitability management.

Responsibilities include strict change management, client billing oversight, risk monitoring, and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders to meet deadlines and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).
• Significant design-build / EPC experience with heavy industrial power/power plant clients.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence and approval from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and is responsible for profitability.
• Creates and reviews client billings and ensures timely client payment; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Performs ongoing review of project status and escalates risks as needed.
• Manages project changes using change management protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to project team members.
• Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and in-house construction budgets by group responsibility.
• Facilitates meetings with stakeholders.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
