Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Plant Engineer to support operations, maintenance and capital projects for safe, efficient plant performance. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance and leadership to optimize equipment reliability and lifecycle performance.

Responsibilities include leading RCA/FMEA, MOC documentation, outage planning, and budget support, while ensuring compliance with environmental permits and NERC standards. A PE license is a plus, with strong safety and analytical focus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
Min 5 years in engineering/ops/maintenance in a power/industrial plant.
Experience with GE Frame 7FA gas turbine technology.
Knowledge of gas turbine controls and DCS systems.
Experience with reliability-centered maintenance or asset management.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for daily plant operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment reliability.
Lead RCA/FMEA and develop corrective actions.
Support outage planning/execution and major inspections.
Prepare engineering reports, technical specs, scopes of work, and equipment documentation.
Ensure compliance with environmental permits and NERC standards; promote safety culture.
Respond to plant emergencies and support abnormal conditions.
