Job summary
Synectics Inc. is seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer to support power generation facilities including RDF and biomass plants. You will lead electrical reliability initiatives, troubleshoot plant electrical systems, and manage capital and maintenance projects.
The role is 70% project management and 30% plant reliability engineering, requiring collaboration with mechanical, maintenance, and operations teams, and interaction with contractors and subject matter experts.
Qualifications
- Electrical engineering degree with a bias toward power systems.
- Experience in utility, power generation, or heavy industrial environments.
- Knowledge of medium- and high-voltage equipment.

Responsibilities
- Lead electrical reliability initiatives and troubleshoot plant electrical systems.
- Manage electrical capital and maintenance projects from scoping to close-out.
- Upgrade/replace switchgear, transformers, and HV equipment in plants.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and external contractors.
- Support plant safety standards and procedures.
