Job summary

Vistra in Reading, PA seeks a Plant Operator to manage overall operations from the Control Room, execute plant start-ups and shut-downs, respond to alarms, coordinate maintenance, and ensure safe, reliable plant performance.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on gas plant equipment, follow safety procedures, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, safeguarding people and assets.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience in power plant operations or maintenance.
• Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills.
• Independent knowledge of troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control power plant systems from the Control Room.
• Execute plant shut-downs and start-ups; respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Coordinate maintenance and ensure safe, reliable operation.
