Job summary

Reworld is hiring an Auxiliary Operator to support the facility control room in operating and inspecting power plant systems safely and efficiently. You will help ensure the reliability of the industrial disposal process and monitor key equipment to prevent disruptions.

The role requires 2-3 years of heavy equipment experience and the ability to work rotating shifts, with responsibilities spanning boilers, auxiliary pumps, and air pollution control systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years' experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, including boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and other heavy equipment.
• Monitor and inspect boiler plant auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators and electrical devices.
• Read meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and potential equipment disruptions.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment and ensure safe operation.
• Perform sampling, chemistry testing, and water treatment as required.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment (cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts).
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and appropriate refuse mix in designated pits.
